Well it’s been over a month since I started this test and I have to say the results so far have become less than encouraging…
For all 5 of the low hanging fruit domains only 1 of them is still in Google top 10 for their target keywords and the rest have dropped to nowhere or so deep that it doesn’t really matter. For the 5 domains that targeted the more competitive keyword phrases, well they are nowhere to be seen in Google at all! All domains are still indexed however and I am wondering whether they are all sandboxed for getting to many links to quickly.
I am disapointed overall and was hoping for a lot better results from using UAW. Maybe, I used it all wrong and should have slowed the rate of posts and that might have kept the sites under the radar a bit. However my gut instinct is that the quality of the backlinks are not up to scratch with very little PR. I also wonder whether Google are onto the sites that UAW use for backlinks.
I will keep these domains going but have stopped all Unique article wizard projects and I will report of any progress both good and bad over the coming months!

I faced the same problem with UAW. Same results like you. Got in the top 10 then after a while they disappeared. I also suspected that I got too many backlinks too fast and it got sandboxed. I was too excited when I started using UAW at first so I set the submission settings to unlimited article directories a day. I think this is the reason it got sandboxed. Should have set it to maybe 5 a day or so.
And about the PR thing, don’t bother. What happen to me was that after all that boasting about submissions to quality directories, the average PR of the submitted directories were PR2-PR0. I’m disappointed as well. Wonder if the results would differ if I had changed the submission settings from the beginning..
How many were you submitting per day Steve? It suggests 50 per day which is what I am letting it do. Hopefully it works.
I really appreciate your honesty. Few people have the courage to admit that their marketed strategy didn’t work out as expected. This is perhaps the reason why many people (me included) will continue to place trust in you and your methods.:)
Ryano, yes I was doing the recommended 50 a day. I would say in hindsight that this is probably far to many for a brand new domain.
Vample, that’s very kind, thank you.. I can guarantee one thing and that is for any product that I test, my results will be the truth with no fluff or bull.
Thanks for sharing your results with us Steve, even though they were less than great. It’s good to have honest reviews about such programs.
Hey Steve, I was following your blog since you started the European cruise blog. I have to say you really did great with all that honest reviews and tips.
I’m too am on UAW and the results were pretty marvelous in the beginning, from 0 visitors to a daily averaging of 25 visitors after 2 weeks. Now this result is by far much better than I had with any other blogs I had.
But sadly to say as a newbie in the IM world, I do not possess a wealth of resources like do and I guess my only choice is to press on with UAW.
I do hope the next comment I make gives UAW a more positive outlook.
Good luck guys.
Evan, that is great that you have had a positive experience with UAW. Maybe you could share your strategy on how you use UAW on the 100 bucks forum. Just click on the forum link on the left here.
Btw Steve, do let us know if you have started any new projects. Looking forward for more!
Evan, I have plenty of stuff in the pipeline.. I just need more hours in the day!
Steve, share them pls, it’d help newbies like us!

Hi Evan,
I have been getting a lot of spam sign ups to the forum lately and so I have tightened up a bit on the accounts I activate. Could you tell me your username that you used in case I inadvertantly didn’t activate your account.
Ok Steve, watch out for me… webistro
Hey Steve,
Great blog with lots of super useful info!
Unfortunately, I believe your strategy for UAW simply wasn’t right. I also use the service to promote my sites created with the same Adsense approach as yours (low hanging fruit domains). So far the results have been ok, with most sites being pushed up a couple of pages (or spots if already on page one) within days from the first submission. I never set the submission rate to more than 20 a day, which I believe is the optimum setting for UAW. So far none of the sites got sandboxed, and a number of them have taken top five spots. What I also learned is that one article is usually not enough to get your site to page one if it starts somewh
…sorry, something went wrong with my last comment. What I meant was: What I also learned is that one article is usually not enough to get your site to page one if it starts somewhere lower, you need at least a few and this obviously will take more time with the submissions set to 20/day or lower.
Hope that helps!
Thanks Stan for your experiences. You could very well be right that I didn’t use UAW correctly. However, I did follow the recommendations given by UAW. Also with regards to the domains you are promoting, are they brand new domains and have you used other strategies for promoting those sites?
Hey Steve! I’ve been following both of your blogs for a few months now…I found them in the Warrior Forum. Just wanted to say great job, and you’ve been an inspiration for me. Dont get discouraged- keep your chin up!
Stan, I too followed UAW’s recommendation of 50 submissions daily. Within 2 wks I had a page ranked 11 (pg 2) with daily visits of 20 a day. That lasted for a mere week. As I can see from now the same keywords’s pushed down to 24 (pg 3 of google). Either the page’s sandboxed by google or the increase in the no. of sites with same keywords.
Either tat, I’m trying for 25 submissions a day with UAW. We’ll see how it goes.
Hi Steve and others..
soooo maybe this is why one of my sites.. with all its unique content is no where to be found… though when i google site: etc.. all the pages are there… now i am thinking is was possibly sandboxed due to too many backlinks and possible use of UAW.. if that is the case.. when does google allow you to play again? is sandboxed a permanent thing.. if you just keeping adding content will that be enough?
any idea how long it take to get out of the ‘dog house’?? thanks Lizzie
btw.. i love what you are doing Steve!
Steve, they are all brand new domains and UAW is the only promotion strategy I use for them. I had some bad experiences with getting too many backlinks to a new site too fast in the past, so I take particular care not make the mistake again. I’m aware of the fact that 50 is what they recommend, but to be frank I don’t think it is a good recommendation.
Evan, I don’t think that a drop from page 2 to page 3 could be a sandboxing sign. It does happen, especially with new domains. Keep the submission rate lower (25/day could be fine) and submit a new article when UAW finishes the submission cycle for the current one. Also, remember to vary your anchor text so that your links look more natural.
I got discouraged with UAW and cancelled my subscription! I might pick it up at a later date but as for now I’m not going to.
Stan, I’m trying that now. Seems that my page is getting up again but it’s still slow compared to the peak I reached. I’m now keeping submissions to 25 a day and when it reaches 200 submissions, I’m tuning down to 10 a day to make it “natural” for SEs. Let’s see the progress.
Hi Steve
Are you using UAW on your European Cruise blog? If so then you are definitely NOT being penalised for getting too many links too quickly since, according to http://yahoo.search.siteexplorer.com you only have 153 external links to that site (not using a WWW in front… with www there are none).
You also have to take into account that most article directories review articles before they go live on the site… so even if you submit 50 articles per day they will probably take several weeks (and possibly even months) before they are live and indexed.
I have used a similar program (magic article submitter) for some of my backlinking and no matter how many articles I submit at once they take forever to be reviewed.
Oops, that was supposed to be http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/
